- Please ensure the card machine displays GPRS on the screen.
- Ensure network bars are displayed on the screen and check the amount of bars available (5 being extremely good).
- Most importantly, ensure the card terminal displays a network (Orange, EE, T-Mobile, O2, Vodafone or Datasim). If the network is not displayed the card machine will NOT connect.
If the error message ‘BAD MAC’ appears when trying to complete a transaction on the PDQ Machine (in this instance the unit will typically void the transaction and an error message BAD MAC will appear under the void receipt). Please call a member of the WTS technical team on the support lines provided or supplied in the WTS help book.
This means the Ingenico card machine has been disconnected by the bank (or the bank’s systems have been updated which happens every 30 days) and we will need a simple “MAC reset” on the bank’s system. A short call to a member of the WTS support team will get this resolved and get the terminal back working.
